It's important to understand your workout selection from push exercises to pull exercises. Or do you use splits upper body one day then lower body the following day. Either way you need to understand the importance of your workout selection. First rule of thumb is all major muscle groups should be trained at minimum twice a week. The major muscle groups includes Chest, Biceps, Triceps, Back , Legs Glutes, Shoulders and Core. Push exercises consist of push ups, chest press, shoulder press. Pull exercises consist of cable rows, pull up, bent over row. These are just a few examples. Nonetheless your workouts should be designed according to your fitness goals.
